Is it my age or are flutes are new organs becoming richer in harmonics. I heard one on CD the other and the flutes were what I would term very 'fifthy'. Is there some historical precedent to this or is it just the voicer's fashion?

An organ buff from Cornwall - not a player I am afraid - I came across this site while browsing for information on mechanical organs in the UK. It is most comprehensive site and very interesting. So good to see so many photographs of organs old and new.

I had never heard of a Casson organ but the images posted of the instrument you restored are nothing less than stunning. What an amazing church. Perhaps you might consider placing an audio clip of the Casson organ on the website? Thank you.
