The chamber organ being dismantled
Michael and Lesley Leadbeater dismantling the chamber organ.

Our main task this week was to dismantle and move this early 19th century chamber organ into the Leeds Roman Catholic Diocese administration centre in Hinsley Hall, Leeds.


The chamber organs, possibly by Mirlees of Edinburgh

Its provenance is yet to be established, although it is thought to be the work of an Edinburgh organ builder, possibly Mirlees.


SPECIFICATION


Great Open Diapason 8' tc, Stopped Diapason Treble 8', Principal 4', Fifteenth 2'


Swell (Enclosed) t.c. only Flute 8', Dulciana 8', Dulciana 4'


Common 8' Bass to both keyboards.
